Earbus Foundation is delighted to have won 'Most Outstanding Large Organisation' at the Pilbara For Purpose Awards.

Earbus has three programs in the Pilbara, servicing communities around Newman, Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Port Hedland. CEO & co-founder Dr Lara Shur said it was important to bring support to remote areas who would normally have to travel significant distances for ear health services.

EARFLO THE GO IN PILBARA

Earbus Foundation research partner, EarFlo, have developed an innovative device to assist in the treatment of glue ear and middle ear disease. With the support of the Pilbara Aboriginal Health Alliance, we will now expand the successful clinical trial to the Pilbara region. Aboriginal children will now have access to this non-invasive treatment which has the potential to change the way we treat middle ear disease in children.

CHEERS TO TEN YEARS

The Earbus team is grateful for the kindness of three fabulous Chefs who each donated their time and expertise to help us celebrate our ten year milestone at CALEB's Restaurant & Bar. Chefs Stephen Clarke, Caleb Azuka and Phil LaBrooy each created a course utilising produce from local West Australian suppliers matched with premium WA wines, beers from Spinifex Brewing Co., and Yaru Water, all of which was also generously donated.

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP HONOURS HARVEY COATES

Prior to the pandemic, Earbus Foundation announced a partnership with Griffith University in Queensland to create the Harvey Coates Research Fellowship. Honouring our Clinical Patron, Professor Harvey Coates AO, Earbus is proudly supporting the funding of a PhD student to conduct Otitis media research at the university's Institute for Glycomics on the Gold Coast.
