Read MoreSince October 2015 Earbus Foundation has provided Newborn Hearing Screening (NBHS) in the state’s private maternity hospitals under contract to the WA Department of Health through the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS). In total Earbus has screened just under 47,000 neonates and we can expect to screen our 50,000th baby in the not too distant future.

Harvey’s lifelong interest in otitis media in Aboriginal children has included clinical outreach in remote Australia and the South Pacific, and working with WHO and national/international Committees. It was a great event in Perth hosted by Deafness Council WA and Telethon Kids Institute.

BHP funding allows Earbus Foundation to deliver Outreach Programs into the township of Newman and the remote Aboriginal community of Jigalong in the southern Pilbara region. The Outreach Program will deliver monthly Clinical visits to the schools in the region and deploy a fully-equipped customised Earbus that will be permanently located in Newman township.
